Episode 25 – Delving Into DnD 5th Edition

Hello Everyone!

Happy Anniversary to us, 4 years and still kicking! This month we have a full cast plus special guests, Henry, Katie, and Steve.

This episode focuses on Dungeons & Dragons: 5th Edition (aka DnD 5e or DnD Next). All of us have had to chance to look at the rules and even play a little bit. We discuss the differences between the free BASIC pdfs (See below for links) and the Players Handbook, New rules and rule changes, as well as our impressions.

New to Dungeons and Dragons or a little skeptical about the new edition? Have a listen to our fair review and discussion. We hope that you enjoy the show.

No Rest For the Wicked Actual Play – Part Deux

Here is April’s episode. One last in before 1d4Con. Hope to see you there!

It’s a short actual play of Monica’s Apocalypse World hack, called “No Rest For The Wicked”. Joining us this time is Monica who was voluntold to MC for us, Steve, Katie (Dirtskirt) and James.

This is our 6th non-campaign AP episode and is Steve or James’ second go around with the system; however, it is Katie’s first time with a *World game. If you know anything about us, hilarity and mishap definitely ensue… This is a really short episode. We recreate history between the James and Steve’s characters and add Katie’s to the mix. This is sort of a weird sequel to the first game, but enjoyable nevertheless.

MC – Monica

Players:
– Steve as the Soldier (Leo)
– James as the Mechromancer (Turing)
– Katie as the Gunzerker (Snuggles)

Hope you enjoy.

Those Who Would Be Kings Actual Play – Group 2, Part 13

*Warning – Explicit*

Group 2, Part 13 of Those Who Would Be Kings is now available for you to enjoy. Part 12 has recording issues, but there is a recap at the beginning of this episode.

Have a listen and let us know what you think :). Feedback is always welcomed.

Here is the blurb:

The Bronze Empire was a bastion of civilization; surely the greatest and strongest civilization in the known world – but when strange corpselike men marched from a wasteland known only as The Godblight and sacked the capital city, The Heart, a hand-picked group of heroes was chosen to escort what remains of the nobility. One group was sent to the north to rendezvous with their allies, the Children of the Dragon in their stronghold the Bastion Upon the Summit. The other group was sent into the wilds of the east, to find friendly faces or a safe haven wherever they can, and perhaps even to create a new society. What will become of these heroes, and the fate of the Empire?

Group 2: Sean, Steve, Andy, Kate “Dirt Skirt”, Chrissy, and Brian
