The Bronze Empire was a bastion of civilization; surely the greatest and strongest civilization in the known world – but when strange corpselike men marched from a wasteland known only as The Godblight and sacked the capital city, The Heart, a hand-picked group of heroes was chosen to escort what remains of the nobility. One group was sent to the north to rendezvous with their allies, the Children of the Dragon in their stronghold the Bastion Upon the Summit. The other group was sent into the wilds of the east, to find friendly faces or a safe haven wherever they can, and perhaps even to create a new society. What will become of these heroes, and the fate of the Empire?
